The PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority (PHIVIDEC-IA) recently announced the appointment of Engr. Chrysler B. Acebu as one of its newest directors, following the selection of the agency’s new Board of Directors by His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
Engr. Acebu joins a distinguished group of leaders committed to driving PHIVIDEC-IA’s strategic initiatives and promoting growth and development in Northern Mindanao.
He will serve alongside fellow appointees Engr. Augustus N. Adis, PME, who has been appointed as Chairman and Director; Atty. Eduardo Q. Almirante, Jr., CPA; and MGen. Wilbur C. Mamawag (Ret.), each of whom brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the Board.
PHIVIDEC-IA Administrator and CEO Atty. Joseph Donato J. Bernedo will continue to serve as Vice-Chairman, with the Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Secretary of the Department of Finance (DOF) acting as ex-officio Board members.
Engr. Acebu brings to PHIVIDEC-IA a wealth of engineering expertise and a deep understanding of the industrial and property sector. He is currently Vice President and General Manager for Mindanao at Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation, a real estate developer that has made significant contributions to the growth of Cagayan de Oro City. His appointment as director at PHIVIDEC-IA is likewise aligned with his current position as the Vice President in the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (ORO CHAMBER) representing the Manufacturing and Industry Sector.
The newly appointed directors were officially sworn into office by Court of Appeals Associate Justice John Z. Lee at the Court of Appeals Building in Cagayan de Oro City.
Now in its 50th year, PHIVIDEC-IA was created with the primary objective of managing the 3,000-hectare industrial estate located in the municipalities of Tagoloan and Villanueva in the province of Misamis Oriental, while at the same time spreading development in the countryside and promoting socio-economic growth in the community.
