Pueblo de Oro Development Corp. (PDO) officers led by Chairman and CEO Guillermo D. Luchangco paid a courtesy call on Cagayan de Oro (CDO) City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno last September 11, 2019. Topics discussed were the ongoing developments in CDO as well as PDO’s plans for expansion and future investments in the city.
PDO acquired its 400-hectare Pueblo de Oro Township property in the early 1990s, back when such huge township projects were practically unheard of, especially in the provinces. Today, the township is complete with residential subdivisions and carefully integrated with a PEZA-accredited business IT Park and top-notch educational institutions Xavier University and Corpus Christi School.
The business activity in the area spurred demand for residential projects that cater to different market segments. Demand has shown no signs of slowing down, prompting PDO to acquire an additional 40 hectares of property. To date, the township is now home to 9,840 residential units.
Mr. Luchangco said the success of Pueblo de Oro Cagayan de Oro pushed the company to develop similar townships in Cebu, Batangas and Pampanga, albeit at a smaller scale.
