Pueblo de Oro’s corporate social responsibility arm, the ICCP Group Foundation, Inc. (IGFI), brought joy during the Christmas season by donating hygiene kits to children from PDO’s host communities in barangays Lumbia and Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City.
IGFI collected hygiene kits donated by employees of PDO and Pueblo Golf. Each kit contained a face towel, comb, bath soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste and sanitary pads for girls. These were distributed to 58 students of Baluarte Elementary School in Lumbia during the School’s Christmas Party last December 12, 2019.
On December 21, 2019, more hygiene kits and slippers were given to 21 children aged 5 to 18 years old living at the House of Joshua in Barangay Canitoan. The facility provides shelter and education to orphaned or abandoned children.
PDO employees also facilitated games and raffle prizes for the kids. In return, the beneficiaries prepared a dance number.
