First Uptown Police Precinct Set Up in Pueblo de Oro
2019 Mar 25 | by rei

The Pueblo de Oro Township and surrounding villages in the Uptown Cagayan de Oro community now have a police precinct to serve and protect its residents.
Inaugurated on December 10, 2018, the Uptown Police Precinct will be manned by 10 police officers a day. The precinct was fabricated from a 20-foot donated container van that was converted into an office. Its central location along El Camino Real between Caltex and Morning Mist Village allows for greater police presence and faster response to emergency calls. Prior to the establishment of the new precinct, the closest police station was four kilometers away in Barangay Carmen proper.
The project was initiated by the Council of Uptown Presidents, an association of 15 homeowners associations from the portions of barangays Carmen, Balulang, Canitoan, and Lumbia which comprise Uptown CDO. The precinct may be reached through Globe/TM 09264947401 and Smart/TNT 09503787746.
