Pueblo de Oro Provides Temporary Shelter for Its Workers

These challenging times have brought about an increased sense of humanity, community, and compassion.
Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation “Pueblo de Oro” has opened its doors to its housing workers amid the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pueblo de Oro provided 156 workers with sleeping areas, access to clean bathrooms and food assistance to support the community quarantine in Batangas. This is Pueblo de Oro’s ways of thanking them and recognizing the sacrifice they and their families are doing to help halt the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The assistance comes in the heels of the President’s order for an Enhance Community Quarantine leaving a good number of workers and daily wage labourers stranded in the construction sites and unable to go home to their families.
With the workers’ predicament, Pueblo de Oro decided to provide temporary shelter and food to lessen the risk of them contracting the virus. The rice assistance program is an ongoing humanitarian effort in coordination with Pueblo de Oro’s sister company , Science Park of the Philippines.
