OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE KIDNAPPING INCIDENT IN UPTOWN CAGAYAN DE ORO

Following the kidnapping incident that took place in Cagayan de Oro on October 23, 2016, Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PODC) would like to clarify to the public that the said kidnapping did not take place in Pueblo de Oro Township as had been initially reported by some media outlets. The incident occurred outside a condotel in Upper Balulang, which is outside the boundaries of the Township.

We denounce the kidnapping or any unlawful act in our city and we sympathize with the victim’s family. Meanwhile, the safety and protection of our homeowners and locators are our utmost concern. PODC is highly committed to ensure security and order in our communities at all times.
