New Projects Further Enhance Pueblo Location

Uptown Cagayan de Oro is booming as more and more exciting developments take place in the Pueblo de Oro Township.

Xavier University (XU), which has a 13-hectare property in the Township, has plans to build its P50 million building in its area across the Pueblo Business Park for its revitalized Center for Industrial Technology.

Link2Support, the biggest call center in Mindanao, is again expanding its operations in the Pueblo de Oro IT Ecozone. The call center is adding another 300 seats for a total of 750 seats. This is the second such expansion it has undergone since it went online in 2005.

The Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be transferring soon its operations to its new building along Macapagal Drive beside Golden Glow North. It is expected that before long, the Regional Development Council-10 in tandem with the National Economic Development Authority will follow suit with their plan to put up the Northern Mindanao Institute of Good Governance in the adjoining lot.

Part of the upsurge in development can be attributed to the completion of Macapagal Drive and the Pelaez and Kagay-an Bridges, making the Uptown area even more accesible from different points in the City. In addition, Pueblo de Oro's comprehensive mix of residential and commercial developments has convinced more homeowners and locators to move up.
